Welcome! I am writer/screenwriter Layla O’Shea. And Layla O’Shea is Write Time Media. A little DBA with a hard working human behind it. 

 

So who am I exactly, and why should you want to work with me? Well, I was raised in Boston, Massachusetts for the first two decades of my life. After years of baseball and running around pretending to be Superman as a child, I grew up, graduated with an English/Communications degree, and worked full-time while raising three kids, all while embracing the art of storytelling. I’ve never been a stranger to multi-tasking.

 

That vivid imagination in childhood decided it wasn’t going anywhere, so I put it to good use helping fellow creatives flesh out their story ideas. Nothing thrills me more than seeing cast and crew come together to bring those ideas to both big and small screens.

 

A few initial successes include:

 

+ First feature drama Just Say Goodbye won the Indie Spirit Best Director Award at the Boston International Film Festival, and is now being distributed on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Fandango Now and TubiTV. 

 

+ Co-wrote the 30-minute short sci-fi film The A.R.K. Report, which won the Gold Remi Award at the  Houston International Film Festival for Best Narrative Short. 

 

+ Short story “Just a Farmer’s Son” was published in the prestigious, annual Nassau Review. 

 

My ultimate goal is to continue crafting stories that move and entertain people.
